iPro - Standardization of the Inquiry Processing
Together with the Chemnitz University of Technology, the TISORA Sondermaschinenbau GmbH (special machinery) and community4you, a method for standardizing inquiry processing for customized product solutions was developed within the scope of the project "eLOP - electronic Lean order processing".

Challenge
In the project "e-LOP", a new approach for standardized order processing with significant development potential was evolved. However, it was clear that according to the underlying problem situation in the project and the aimed objectives, only one of two basic use cases will be covered.
Solution
An expanded view of the initial situation is required in the follow-up project "iPro". This requires an extension of the work objectives and development of new solutions. To ensure the performance of the plants manufacturer in the future also customized mechanical and plant engineering order processes must be standardized.
However, in relation to the inquiry processing this must be connected with certain flexibility. Since usually the nature of the use case for the inquiry processing is determined by the customer, it is important for the plant manufacturer to master standardized process alternatives. The second "iPro" focus of treatment includes the coupling of the order processing with the project and document management to reduce efforts.
The software company community4you GmbH was conceptual and technical partner with its software framework open-EIS. The project "iPro - Standardization of the inquiry processing in customized machinery and plant engineering” runs from April 2009 until December 2010, in cooperation with TISORA Sondermaschinen GmbH and the Chemnitz University of Technology.
The project was funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Free State of Saxony.
