|Project Objectives||Realization of a high-performance and centralized online ordering and registration system in a heterogeneous IT environment|
|Technology and Products|
With an average turnover of around 242 million Euro, approximately 894 employees, more than 60 representations, an available area of 1 million square meter and an excellent infrastructure, the Deutsche Messe Hannover AG ranks on a top position among the world's leading trade societies.
The challenge in this project was to create a central fair management system which optimally supports a wide range of different internal and external business processes and activities of all parties involved, i.e. exhibitors, service providers and visitors as well as the Deutsche Messe Hannover employees.
Based on comm.fair and comm.ticket a central online fair management system was developed. It covers the complex exhibitor’s business process from registration via ordering and administration through the complete accounting and ticketing.Based on the existing capabilities of comm.fair and comm.ticket specific fair business processes have been broadened and developed. In addition various portals with specific functional characteristics have been implemented for different target groups. Within the so-called service portals external service providers are able to work directly in the system, to follow and correct the exhibitor’s orders and to report back the completion status of the provided services. Thus the complete order process runs in the central fair management system.
