The project EasyOrder, a high-performance and centralized online ordering and registration system for exhibitors at Messe Frankfurt has been realized and integrated into the existing, historically developed infrastructure.

Messe Frankfurt is the world's largest exhibition company with own premises (440 Million EURO of turnover). About 40 exhibitions, including international industrial trade shows and world famous hospitality events such as the IAA (Commercial Vehicles International Motor Show) and the Book Fair and more than 200 events and conferences are held annually in Frankfurt.
The challenge in this project was, besides the realization of an online ordering and registration system, to create a centralized system, which would be totally new on the European market. The system had to fit perfectly into the existing, historically grown system environment and to communicate with the existing IT systems.
Based on comm.fair and comm.ticket a central online ordering and registration system was developed. It covers the complex exhibitor’s business process from registration via service order through the complete accounting and ticketing.
Countless functions such as booth registration and extra services, shopping cart system, voucher administration, catalog administration and bar code system had to be implemented for the mapping of the entire exhibitor’s business process. In addition, a wide range of interfaces have been developed to transfer master date, products and accounting elements to the central online registration and ordering system to integrate the system into the existing, historically grown IT environment. Thus the data transfer can be done consistently and with high-performance between all existing systems.
