• Competence for managing and assisting learning groups: communication and leadership skills, organization of group processes, developing and using materials which enable self-directed learning

• Media competence: capability to judge applicability and limitations of available media, development and use of teaching and learning materials for interactive teaching and learning systems, know-how about the use of authoring systems, capabilities in media design

• Methodological and didactic competence: know-how and application of a variety of methods for the design of teaching and learning processes, design of learning environments

• Capacity for teamwork: designing teaching and learning processes in a team-oriented way, cooperative and inter-professional collaboration

• Technical skills: administration of networks and learning platforms, experience in developing Web applications, in-depth knowledge and experience in the development of comprehensive Java business applications, know-how in modern methodologies and tools, experience with application servers, components and frameworks as well as web frameworks and databases
