community4you teaches Java in La Paz, Bolivia
Participate in the blended learning courses!
The importance of Information and Communication Technologies for both the state and the private sector is constantly growing. However, in developing countries like Bolivia, there are often not enough local IT specialists available. Moreover, those specialists can mostly improve their skills via “learning by doing” only. The result is that major software projects are frequently realized with large foreign software companies only. This excludes small and medium sized local businesses from technical innovations. In order to collaborate in overcoming this “digital divide” – the digital gap between poor and rich countries – community4you GmbH carries out an ambitious two-year learning project in cooperation with the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA) in La Paz, Bolivia. Additionally, the Universidad Católica Boliviana San Pablo (UCB), the Universidad Tecnológica Boliviana (UTB) and various Bolivian companies are participating.
This project fosters the formation and advanced training of IT specialists via a comprehensive qualification measure regarding Java programming. The aim is to provide Bolivian IT companies and university chairs with the possibility to autonomously develop modern software applications and to offer their knowledge on the Latin American market. In order to achieve this objective, community4you employs its comprehensive Learning Management System comm.lms.
Do you have a basic knowledge of Java programming and are you interested in learning more about programming modern enterprise applications?
