The project "ICB - initiative center for innovative e-learning in initial vocational training" opens up the potential of new media in initial vocational training in the field of Mechatronics aiming to optimize training processes in the last year of training.
The project objective "Introduction of a web-based learning management system with coaching and competence management functionalities" was developed on the basis of the integration platform open-EIS, the learning management system comm.lms and the authoring and publishing system comm.editsweb. community4you created a solution to publish content via Rapid Content Development and to provide service-based areas for coaching, learning, competence, knowledge and communication.

Challenge
As part of the "ICB" project, innovative e-learning solutions were developed in the field of initial vocational training for companies and trainees in order to optimize training processes in the final year of training and to make the process of the final examination more effective and independent of location.
Solution
Online services in the areas of knowledge acquisition, knowledge transfer, coaching and interactive communication were available for the implementation of these tasks. The learning progress of the trainees was supported by an optimal adaptation of the single activities to the learning needs. At the same time, improved coordination and collaboration opportunities were created between trainers and training specialists.
In the project, 15 learning modules were developed in a target-group-oriented manner and on the basis of the training framework plan and complied with the examination requirements using the sample of the „operational contract " for the final examination of the Mechatronics Technician (m/f).
