Bolivian IT professionals successfully took part in their final examination
community4you carried out the final examinations in form of an online assessment.
After the last phase of the Java programming qualification measure for Bolivian IT professionals in La Paz (Bolivia) in February 2011, the participants have prepared themselves intensively for the final examination. The examination was carried out as an online assessment in August 2011. 96 % of all accredited participants passed the exam. On average, each participant achieved a result of 85%, which is the grade “good” or equivalent to the grade 2. Therefore all successful finalists could be awarded with a certificate of participation at the end of the training.
Currently, multiplier talks for the continuation of the IT qualification measure are being conducted, not only with Bolivian universities, but also with Brazilian, Mexican and Colombian organizations and businesses that show a strong interest in this educational area.
The aim of the education project was to promote education and training of Bolivian IT specialists in form of blended learning courses. In cooperation with various Bolivian companies, the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA) and the Universidad Católica Boliviana San Pablo (UCB), the students and professionals were taught by specialists of the community4you GmbH in an extensive training in the programming language Java. With the help of the innovative Learning Management System comm.lms of community4you, the Bolivian participants were able to train, check and expand their knowledge between the attendance phases online.
With this 24-month PPP project, community4you promoted the education and trainingf IT professionals through a comprehensive qualification measure in the area of Java programming.
The project is funded within the program develoPPP.de of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the sequa gGmbH.
