Villa Hahn: the headquarters of community4you AG celebrate their 10th anniversary
An attractive testimony of the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit in the region of Saxony
Located in a beautiful park landscape on the Haendelstraße in Chemnitz, a villa built in 1923 has shined in a new splendor since 2004. The restoration works began in 2003 and saved the villa from further decay. The building has been carefully renovated and restored within a construction period of only 11 months. In October 2004 the software manufacturer community4you AG commenced operating in the villa.

In coordination with the state office of Saxony for the preservation of monuments a professional restoration took place. Within the interior restoration all remaining original components were preserved. Particularly on the ground floor the foyer and the adjoining rooms convey a good impression of the original ambience through the preservation of the fireplace and of a number of stoves.

Even outside the past architectural quality of the villa is manifest. The ornate lesenes at the building corners are also shining in a new splendor as well as the half-round oriel with balcony that is facing the park. The color design of the facade emphasizes the aesthetical character of the villa.

On 2 April 2008 the company building received the honorable name „Villa Hahn“, named after the honorary citizen of Chemnitz and longtime President of Volkswagen AG, Prof. Dr. Carl H. Hahn. He was born in Chemnitz in 1926 and lived from 1934 until 1945 with his family in the villa at Haendelstrasse.
Carl Hahn, who hardly misses an opportunity to visit his home town Chemnitz and his home house in which he spent a great part of his childhood and youth, could continually convince himself during the last years of the unremitting dedication of community4you AG and the passion to preserve the original character of the villa.

Shortly before his 88th birthday, the man who has given the name to the villa was nicely surprised with a work of art created by the famous artist Julius Hempel from Dresden. In a festive ceremony and in the presence of high-ranking guests from business and politics on 24 June 2014 community4you AG honored the life's work of Prof. Dr. Carl Hahn with the unveiling of a portrait bust of him which will take a prestigious place in the “Villa Hahn”.
On the occasion of a Sunday interview with the SACHSEN FERNSEHEN (SAXONY TELEVISION) of Chemnitz on 12 October 2014 Prof. Dr. Carl Hahn expressed his enthusiasm about the faithful restoration of the villa and praised community4you AG as an example of the many successful companies of Saxony. Excited and proudly he refered to "Saxony as a land of creative people".
