Chemnitz Peace Award 2016: community4you AG is proud of a colleague
A longstanding engagement for a nonviolent Chemnitz has been awarded with a special prize.
The Chemnitz peace prize is traditionally awarded on the eve of the International Day of Peace. With this prize are honoured citizens, campaigns and projects with a special contribution for a nonviolent living together that brings forward the peaceful coexistence of different cultures in Chemnitz. The prize was awarded for the thirteenth time and the ceremony took place on 4th of March 2016 under the auspices of the citizen’s association FUER Chemnitz e.V.

The special prize is irregularly awarded and in 2016 has been received for the first time by a family - the family Sasse, who for many years have stood bravely, determinedly, creatively and thoughtfully for non violence, civil rights and culture as well as intercultural exchange. Thus inter alia the engagement of the family in social activities at the Montessori school has been acknowledged. Furthermore the family accommodated in their home three Syrian war refugees. The honorees received a peace award sculpture specially created by the sculptor Erik Neukirchner. Ringo Sasse is “Head of Department comm.fleet” at community4you AG.

Participation in cultural and social projects is an indispensable part of our corporate philosophy that is reflected in our engagement in monument preservation, promotion of sports activities as well as our commitment to social issues. We are proud of our employees who share this commitment even in their private life. We congratulate our long time employee Ringo Sasse and his wife Katharina Kaestel-Sasse for winning the award of the citizens association FUER Chemnitz.
